The sleeveless turtleneck sweater has to be one of the most ironic pieces of clothing ever. Warm on the neck, cold in the arms. But I think it’s perfect for those days when it’s kind of cold but not cold enough to be completely bundled up. To All of You,
Thank you so much for allowing me to share my outfits to you on the daily. I truly appreciate that I get the opportunity to share myself with the world. I understand how people get a little iffy about sharing their life on the internet and on social media. Although I don’t share every single thing, the past 6 months I have made it a point to share my grieving journey. Everyone has their ways of coping, and blogging has truly been one of mine. Being able to talk about some of the things I am going through literally helps me to put things into perspective.
I’ve shared with you guys my struggle with my faith since my mom’s passing. I do so intentionally because I know somewhere out there, someone may look at these posts and realize that they are not alone. Grieving makes you feel very alone. You start to believe that no one understands what you’re going through. Even now, I still have those thoughts. I’ve wanted to give up, in more ways that just blogging. I’ve had moments where I questioned why I was alive and why my mom wasn’t. I questioned what made me more “worthy” to still be here. I’ve questioned family relationships, friendships, and career. To be honest, some of those questions have not been answered yet (and I am not sure they ever will).
I know the topics I share here can be considered “heavy” by most. But I know that I never wanted to just share an outfit with a one liner (mainly because I like to talk in real life lol). I want you guys to come to my blog and get some inspiration, not only from my pics, but from my words.
With all that said, thank you for allowing me to do so. Thank you for the consistent love you guys show everyday. Life is more than just likes, comments, and page views, but I would be lying if I didn’t say that it’s encouraging. Thank you for being some loyal readers. Here’s to a better 2017.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
