Bandana Neck Scarf

Wash, Rinse, Dry/Dry Clean, Wear, Repeat. That’s definitely going to be the case with this bandana neck scarf I recently got my hands on. Bandanas have been around FOREVER (I use to wear them as headscarves…out the house…for the world to see) and are now making their comeback.

But back to Wash, Rinse, etc. People seem to forget that, surprise surprise, you can wear an item more than once. In this social media age where we tend to document almost everything, there’s this tendency to believe that once a clothing item has been debuted on social media, it can no longer be worn for fear of someone thinking that you are a *gasp and whispers* outfit repeater. This warped thinking (I’ve been guilty of it too) has forced us into believing that we need to consistently and continuously show that we have new things.  bandana neck scarf

I actually used to be quite self-conscious that I would rework items that I’ve worn before into a different outfit and blog about it (like I’m doing today). You’ve seen this skirt twice before already. Yep. I’ve styled it two different times before now in the past 8 months. Some may think that’s insane. But I now think it’s logical. What’s the point of buying something only to wear it once. What fun is that??? Or worse, buying something only for the purpose of taking photos in it and returning it the next day (honestly, why go through all that)?

Every thing I’ve worn on the blog and been gifted/sponsored to post, I’ve kept for some time and worn again before deciding to give it away. Because I actually like the items and want to wear them again. If I cannot afford to buy some new clothes, then guess who isn’t buying new clothes?! I’m going to show you how to make a piece look completely different than before. I’m still in the process of growing this platform and actually being stable in life. So yes, the struggle is real sometimes and I for sure do not have a closet that is overflowing with clothes. My goal is to be 100% authentic with what I show and present to you all, and that includes my everyday outfits.

Blogging has become this race of “how many different items can I show that I have”, instead of it just being a platform to truly showcase your personal style. Even if someone isn’t feeling my outfit, I AM FEELING MY OUTFIT! *pounds gavel*bandana neck scarf

Until next time…

I’ve always posted outfit posts when I can afford to and I’m not afraid to wear outfits more than once on my blog. That’s another way to show different ways a piece can be worn and also more relatable to the average girl who can’t afford to buy new clothes all the time.
Such a nice post and you killed it in that outfit!

Yaassss gurl, bandanas v made dier comebacks actually nd as a neck piece z really stylish. I really don’t know why sumbody will buy clothes today nd wear it just once nd drop it cos it has bin worn before. I think style shud be about having a single outfit nd styling it in different ways.
