And perfect layering quality!The other day I posted on my Instagram a snippet about how I am trying to find my purpose. Believe it or not, I am still searching. It’s like I know what it is, but then I don’t.

Is that even possible Seyi?

Yes, it is. If you’re really good at something, naturally, then that is your gift. But that usually isn’t the entire picture. There’s a reason why you’re so good at what you’re good at. A reason why YOU were created with that gift. Now what do you plan to do with it? That’s when purpose comes in. Keep in mind, this is my personal theory. Not to be taken as bond.What then??

Well, as of late I have been focusing my energy on the now. I try not to put all my effort into future plans because guess what, the future ain’t here yet! It’s sort of a weird concept to grasp because technically, the future will never be here. When the future does come, it’ll be the present…get it? I don’t want to live for the future. Constantly thinking, “in 5 years, then I will do XYZ”, “when I get ____ followers, then I’ll do ____”. I am here to tell you that’s a load of BS (too real?).

“Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today” consistenly plays in my mind when I’m on my “don’t feel like doing anything” tip. It relates to procrastination, but also to living your life. Who knows where you will be in 5 years. Whatever you can do in your capacity at this moment…do it!
So what’s your point Seyi?

My point is that you and I should go into whatever we do with that understanding and basically, go hard or go home! If you have an idea, execute the heck out of that and wow us all. You should utilize your gift to its maximum ability. The purpose will be revealed to you in time. I don’t think it’ll come overnight but, baby steps.

I am vowing that in 2017, I will live for the present, use my gift, and I will be one step closer to finding my purpose.
