If you would’ve told me 5 years ago that I would be rocking heels lower than 4 inches, I would’ve laughed. and yet here I am, rocking a baby heel: aka the kitten heel; standing at a full 2 inches. This heel has come and gone and come back again in fashion trends like 5o times already and that cycle probably won’t change. Both this top and heels are thrifted courtesy of ThredUp. You guys know I have a sweet spot for thrifting so I was thrilled to receive a few items from them! DON’T LOSE HOPE
As inauguration rolls around, some of us are feeling a little weary and dismayed at this new reality. It seems like we are going from hope and progress, to despair and stagnancy. It can be overwhelming to try and process it all. Sometimes it’s easier to remain negative. To think that all the work that was previously done is going completely down the drain. And while some of that may be sort of true (let’s be real), this is an opportunity for the oppressed to really show up and show out.
All this to say, keep pushing. Do good in this world, don’t be hateful or spiteful towards others. Seek justice where you can, help those who need it, and live your life in a way that honors God. Because at the end of the day, that’s all we can really do.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
